i can just say ... why any1 should care what will happend in 2 years when in 15 mins when u get out at street u can be hitted by car ....
i just sometimes think what would be like if i wasnt born now .... my wish is to see maximum point of world and society development (that was maybe gone and we are now just falling down :S ) . Or to be there when all desapear.... last seconds before Contra-Big-Bang maybe....

The calandar of the Mayans actually does extend beyond 2012:

Although I do not believe the world will end in 2012. I just wanted to point out that the Mayans have more than one calendar and only one of them ends in 2012, the one the Mayans believed represented life.

don't know much, but isn't the mayan calendar a circle? maybe they ran out of room...
and if something happens, i dont get why everyone thinks it's gonna be such a bad thing...there could be a worldwide revolution. or all technology could be completely destroyed. or we could all achieve nirvana. plenty of good things could happen...or nothing at all. but that would be a letdown, i'm bored as hell.

I'm not scared too, but most people are, remember the alien thing years ago?
Everyday's life is scary - so why don't blame some poor thing from outer space for the mess...
Besides, it's not only the mayans, or the Nostradamus Guy - even in Bavaria (thats where I come from, part of germoney) we had some guys 300 years ago that made funny speeches about things far in the future, like world war III, end of the world etc. - don't know what kind of drugs they used...
Clever people wrote books about the stuff, speculating about the meaning of words/slang not used in the last 100 years and the books were mostly bought by our friends from the esotheric department - never mind shit happens...
I think it's just new business for the media... buy the film?

I completely agree with you about quitting the telly - but I strongly recommend some work instead, to make a/the world less frightening...
