Here's a brief introduction to myself:
20-something male from the States. Not much of a "punk" or "skin". Hung around some self-described punks in my middle and high school years, but didn't much agree with them on anything aside from music. Listen to a good bit of Oi! (from Cock Sparrer to Patriot) as well as ska (recent favorites being 8-6 Crew and the Valkyrians). Listen to quite a bit of neofolk and contemporary composers as well (ie. Max Ricther).
Politically, I'm predominantly conservative. But that's not to say I'm entirely opposed to some progressive strains of thinking. Just simply falls to what I believe may be beneficial and what may be good-natured but utterly destruction (the ideology of the multikulti springs to mind as one such thing). Entirely opposed to racism as it's the lowest form of human stupidity. But when I mention my criticism's of Islam, many are all too ready to shout racism. I'm pro-Israel, anti-EU, anti-UN (a 3rd Durban conference? you gotta be kidding me).
I suppose it's all worth saying that I am quite politically inclined. But am not opposed to letting others speak even if it is in stark opposition to my views.
But my reasons here are predominantly music ones. To discover some new bands. I was led here in my search to find Crisis' "Ends!" album (recording of their final live show in 1980, I think). But have yet to have any luck. If anyone has a link they'd like to share, I'd appreciate it. But if I see a good debate, I may just have to jump in.
Me saying this was brief was a load of bullshit. Sorry about that.
