Hi from UK! I found this site while trying to get hold of the soundtrack album of the film "Jubilee" by Derek Jarman. I've been into allsorts of Punk and Metal stuff since about 1978 but consider myself more erring toward Punk music most of the time. I'm a big fan of Ramones, Dead Kennedys, The Damned, Stiff Little Fingers, Adam Ant, Green Day, NoFX, Rancid and so on amongst others. I don't necessarily look Punk, favouring a more Ramones-esque style, which confuses a hell of a lot of people who don't know any better, but I'm a bit of a non-conformist when it comes down to it! ![]() Anyway, I'm here now, I'll pop in when I can! See ya around, maybe! |

My favourite band changes with my mood, tbh! LOL At the moment, due to recent events, I'm back with Adam Ant as my favourite. Saw him at one of his gigs during the last tour a couple weeks ago. Been a fan of his, constantly, for just over 30 years and that was the 1st time I'd seen him live! I blagged a job as a Roadie at the venue he played cos I know the guy who runs the PA and lights. Didn't get to meet Adam or the two girl backing singers, but I met his band! They were really nice, friendly people. A band I was in a couple years ago supported the Damned at the same venue I just saw Adam - it's just down the road from my house, so nice and easy for me! And in other Damned related news, me and our guitarist, who works for Bose, are gonna be at Solfest in Cumbria at the end of August working in a tent for the shop he deals with up there, and The Damned are headlining on the Saturday! So, I may have to try and persuade the Captain to come and have a jam with us! LOL |

I was in a local original material band called "13 Years of Grief" when I supported the Damned. They're not together any more though. The singer disappeared and it was too much hassle for me to carry on with that and work and the covers band, so I quit as well. I try to get into the studio whenever I can to do bits and pieces of my solo stuff, but not managed it for about a year. |

LOL! Unless you happened to be in either Leeds, Bardford or Castleford in 2008 I doubt you'll have seen us! We supported Theatre of Hate, Spear of Destiny - practically the same band, really ;p - and The Damned. Did about three other gigs, then started recording an album, which never got properly finished and split up! It was not straight up just Punk, there were Metally influences in their too. But it was along the lines of Offspring/Dead Kennedys/Ramones crossed with Deep Purple and Black Label Society - hence the name of the band! There are a couple of videos we made on YouTube. At least definitely for two songs, "Kill the Hate" and "Blazing a Trail". Not sure if there's any others up there. The guitarist and drummer are currently attempting a kind of resurrection under the name of "My Silent War" which was the name of one of the tracks we did for the album. I think, last time I spoke to them, they'd got a new bassist but were still looking for a singer. Thanx for the luck with my solo stuff! I need it! lol. Actually, what I really need is more time to get the songs finished! Have a great time at Rebellion! I can't afford festivals at the moment. |

I'm primarily a bassist, but I do backing and some occassional lead vocals in most bands. Obviously in my own stuff I do all lead vocals and bass and hefty chunks of the backing vox as well. In fact, the last track I did called "Win Win Situation" was used in an independent movie called "Tempus Adolpha". It was a werewolf movie made in Newcastle! The track was recorded in my mates studio in Huddersfield, and I played everything except the drums which were done by another friend, Dan Mullins, from the band My Dying Bride. The other two guys in the band on the movie and video of the song are the drummer from my covers band, 3 Daze Lost, and my best mate Adey Jagger on bass. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bgRxJAvpwrU if you get a chance to watch it. It's a bit New York Dolls/Green Day ish that one. I know how you feel with the saving up for stuff thing. Sh*t's so goddamn expensive these days! lol |

The Beat, I have their greatest hits album "BPM". I remember them from when they were out back in the early 80's, along with Madness - I like, Specials - pretty good. I love Less Than Jake and the Mighty Mighty Bosstones stuff and Reel Big Fish are pretty cool, too. |

1st, soz 4 not getting back to you sooner, had a prob with pc. Gigs, erm... The only gig by a band other than mine that I'm going to currently is Iron Maiden in Sheffield next month. My wifes friends eldest son got tickets for his birthday so he asked me to take him. It's been a few years since I last saw Maiden so I thought why not! LOL I'd like to also go see Ginger (Wildhearts) acoustic gig in a pub in my hometown in August! Not got round to getting me ticket yet though. Other than that, I can't usually afford to go to gigs, which is why the last few I've been to have been in Holmfirth cos of my contacts at the venue. The Damned, Stiff Little Fingers and Adam Ant. And then of course our guitarist taking me to "work" with him at Solfest in Cumbria in August, where the Stranglers and The Damned are playing over the weekend. |
